BIO

Bao Quoc Vo is an Associate Professor in the School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies at Swinburne and the Director of the Swinburne's Intelligent Software Systems (ISS) Lab.

The majority of Dr Vo’s research has centred on the two large and related areas of artificial intelligence (AI) and multi-agent systems. His current research interests include autonomous agentic AI systems and multiagent systems, Large Language Models (LLMs), automated negotiation, argumentation framework, AI planning under uncertainty, market-based mechanisms and auctions. 

Alongside these research areas, Dr Vo has also undertaken research in the application areas of autonomous distributed space systems, services computing and cloud computing, traffic/transport management and optimisation, and energy management. He has been the recipient of numerous ARC Discovery and Linkage Grants and contributed to industry-based projects with organisations such as Saab Australia, AARNET, Suncorp Group, Zimbani and Defence Science and Technology Group.
