BIO

Alex holds law degrees from universities in the UK, New Zealand, and Australia. With over twenty years of teaching experience at Swinburne University, including two and a half years at Swinburne’s Sarawak campus in Malaysia, Alex has an extensive academic background. His nearly decade-long industry experience in Malaysia involved working with both private and public-listed companies, focusing primarily on corporate and construction legal matters. During this period, he played a significant role in the corporate listing and restructuring of two large multi-national companies. Alex’s current research interests lie in commercial law, corporate law, and Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) contracts. He has taught a diverse range of law units across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including units like Law in Global Business, Law of Commerce, Marketing Law, Contract Law, Torts 2 and Company Law. Additionally, Alex serves on the editorial advisory board for International and Comparative Law in the Asia Pacific with Springer Nature.
