BIO

Dr. Yang (Susan) Sun received her bachelor’s degree from Beijing Institute of Technology, China, in June 2016, and her master’s degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China, in June 2019. She received her PhD from Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, in May 2025, and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Optical Microcombs for Breakthrough Science (COMBS), based at the Optical Sciences Centre, Swinburne University of Technology. Her research focuses on integrated nonlinear optics, microwave photonics, optical microcombs, and neuromorphic computing.

As of May 2026, she has authored 15 refereed papers in SCI journals, with representative publications in Advances in Optics and Photonics, Laser & Photonics Reviews, IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, Journal of Lightwave Technology, Nanophotonics, IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, and Advanced Photonics Research. Her publications have received 1,492 citations with an H-index of 13 according to Google Scholar.
