BIO

Prof. Dr. Saad Mekhilef is a Fellow of the IEEE and IET. He is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia, an Honorary Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Malaya, and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Tenaga Nasional, Presidency University, and  Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. He has authored and co-authored over 800 publications in academic journals and proceedings, five books, and has accumulated more than 72,000 citations, and has supervised over 80 Ph.D. students who have graduated under his guidance. He is an editorial board member for many prominent journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Open Journal of Industrial Electronics, IET Renewable Power Generation, Journal of Power Electronics, and the International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications.

 

Prof. Mekhilef has been recognized by Thomson Reuters (Clarivate Analytics) as one of the world's Highly Cited researchers, ranking in the top 1% of engineering researchers globally. He actively engages in industrial consultancy for major corporations on power electronics and renewable energy projects.
