Research aim: My research aims to establish a strategic connection between academia and industry to transform integrated photonics and advanced materials into powerful and reliable technologies that are readily accessible to the broader community. A key focus of my work is addressing the limitations of current integrated photonic devices by incorporating functional materials with superior properties. I also place strong emphasis on ensuring that the resulting hybrid devices are compatible with mass production, enabling industrial-scale manufacturing and allowing end-users to fully benefit from the research outcomes.

Research contribution: Building on over a decade of dedicated work, my research has led to the development of a diverse portfolio of integrated photonic devices and cutting-edge technologies for information processing, nonlinear optics, and thermal photonics.
