BIO

Emeritus Professor Jeremy Mould is Chief Investigator of CDMPP working in the dark universe program. His research interests include galaxies and cosmology and the late stages of stellar evolution,

Professor Mould’s work has contributed to Swinburne’s ERA 5 rating for Astronomical and Space Sciences putting it well above world standard. In recent years, he has played a pivotal role in setting up the Stawell Underground Physics Laboratory, which has allowed astronomers to search for dark matter from a gold mine, more than a kilometre underground.

Prior to joining Swinburne, Professor Mould was a Professor of Astrophysics at Caltech and the Australian National University. He also served as Director of the US National Optical Astronomy Observatory from 2001-2007.
