BIO
Dr Genevieve Lennon's research examines police law and policy as well as counter-terrorist law and policy, with a particular interest in accountability and human rights. She has a recognised international profile and has published extensively in both fields, with over forty publications. She has been awarded over $975,000 (£500,000) in grants, including as co-investigator on the five-country, UK Research Council (ERSC) funded project ‘Police Accountability: Towards International Standards’ (2020 - present). She holds a PhD and master’s degree in law from the University of Leeds. Her work is policy focused. She has given evidence to Parliamentary Committees, served as an independent expert on government appointed reviews of law and policy and was the Independent Chair of the Advisory Board to the Scottish Biometrics Commissioner.
